- Conformance
- Target: WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We measure against it as part of building each page rather than auditing after the fact, and we treat a failure as a defect.
- No overlay
This site does not use an accessibility overlay, toolbar, widget or automatic remediation plugin, and will not.
Overlays sit on top of a page and try to guess what it means. They routinely conflict with the screen reader, magnifier or contrast setting a visitor has already configured, and they do not fix the underlying markup. The accessibility of this site is in its own HTML.
- Contrast
- Body text is at least 4.5:1 against its background throughout, and most of it is well above that. The palette was chosen against measured contrast ratios rather than by eye; the measurements are recorded in the stylesheet itself.
- Colour is never the only signal
The movement matrix returns one of three verdicts. They are distinguished by shape and by a written word — a filled square for holds, a half-filled square for limited, an outlined square struck through for fails — and each is always labelled in text.
There is deliberately no green-amber-red scale in this product. Printed in black and white, or read by anyone who does not distinguish those hues, the matrix loses nothing.

- The matrix is marked up as a genuine
tablewith acaptionand scoped row and column headers, so it can be navigated cell by cell with a screen reader's table commands. Every verdict is readable as text; nothing depends on recognising an icon. - Keyboard
Everything on this site works from the keyboard alone. That includes the structure-to-movement highlighting in both directions: selecting a structure and selecting a movement are ordinary buttons with a pressed state, and the result of a selection is announced in a live region rather than only drawn.
Focus is always visible, at high contrast, and the outline is never removed. Every page begins with a skip link to the main content.
- Images
- Every photograph carries a description of what is actually in it. Decorative images are marked as decorative so a screen reader passes over them rather than reading a filename.
- Forms
- Every field has a real, visible label. Errors are described in words, in a region that announces itself, and say what to do — not just that something is wrong.
- Motion
- Background footage is decorative, silent, and does not start at all when your system is set to reduce motion; a still frame is shown instead. Every transition and animation on the site is disabled under
prefers-reduced-motion. - Zoom and reflow
- Pages reflow to a single column at 320 CSS pixels and at 400% zoom without loss of content or function. Wide content such as the matrix scrolls inside its own container so the page itself never scrolls sideways.
- Known limitations
- Background footage is currently supplied at a single resolution. Where a page uses it, the content is fully readable without it.
